We are blown away at the incredible support all of our friends, fans, family, colleagues, supporters, and strangers have shown for the 2nd annual One Day Without Shoes. Together, we are bringing awareness to impact a simple pair of shoes can have on one’s life.

TOMS Shoes hopes to inspire people to continue their support after April 16th by sharing the One for One mission: For every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need.

Shoes are a simple answer to obstacles many face everyday:

* Fact #1: In developing nations, children walk for miles to food, clean water and medical help.
* Fact #2: Cuts and sores on feet can lead to serious infection.
* Fact #3: Often, children cannot attend school barefoot.
* Fact #4: In Ethiopia, approximately one million people are suffering from Podoconiosis, a debilitating and disfiguring disease caused by walking barefoot in volcanic soil.
* Fact #5: Podoconiosis is 100% preventable by wearing shoes.
