Hey, yo. I’m Liz Robinson. I haven’t written a blog for the Southeast team yet. Kinda crazy, I know. The thing is, I’ve just been sitting back and taking everything in. Last week we all spent some time trying to catch up and gather ourselves for this final week before we hit the road. Some of us did this by hangin’ out at the Vagabond Condo with the rain beating against the windows, while others were led downtown to feed the homeless. The rest of us spent a lazy Sunday afternoon in Venice beach at Bondi’s BBQ…Australian fare at its finest.
Valentine’s Day is many things to many people, but here at TOMS February 14th is Vagabond Krysten’s birthday! Friday night most of us helped celebrate with happy hour at The Edison. This ultimately led to a karaoke extravaganza at the Gas Lite where Carmin let the tune of her heart come out by singin’ some sweet James Taylor jams. Because of the uncharacteristic downpour of rain here in Southern California as of late, we have been taking advantage of every ray of sunshine. Caitlin and Jenny went to Six Flags and had a Boy Meets World marathon. Carmin, Kelli, Hajar, and Sarah (Hajar’s friend from Texas) spent the day at in Anaheim at Disneyland. Carolyn, Derek, Justin and Steven (Justin’s poker-aficionado friend from Tennessee) went to Knott’s Berry Farm. Last but not least, the penniless few…Sloan, Tia, and myself spent the afternoon blasting through West Hollywood and Silver Lake taking photos and scouring thrift shops. The rest of the weekend was pretty low key. With the exception of Hajar wrecking the Vagabond RENTAL van. But as T.I. said to Chris Brown “This too shall pass.”

So as our time in Santa Monica comes to a rapid finish, we are filling our days with events and trips. We’ve got the Vagabond Launch Party here at TOMS headquarters, the Invisible Children Premiere for their new film ‘The Rescue’, and the Falling Whistles Fashion Show. We’re also eager to spend some time hanging out with the interns as much as possible and cruisin’ all of the untapped places in the LA area. Really, we are just trying to gather ourselves before we spend 3 months in the Vagavans. It’s definitely going to be one of those bittersweet situations, but at the end of the day going on tour for TOMS and spreading the message is what we are all here for.

This is one of my favorite Vagabond blogs to date. Definitely one of the best. Mainly for the T.I. reference. Oh, Liz. You never cease to amaze me!
Haha…oh Liz. I’m going to miss you.
