Who’s that guy? That’s Punxtawney Phil. Every year, Carolyn’s grandfather, who lives in Punxtawney sends her a beanie baby on Groundhog Day. So we made him our mascot.
1 week down, 11 to go! Our first week was amazing! This week contained waaaaay too much awesomeness to fit in a blog. I don’t even know where to begin. Let’s see if I can sum up the week. 2 events at the University of Washington. Both of which were fantastic thanks to the hard work and overall awesomeness of Mango, our campus rep! We had an event at Seattle Pacific University that was super fun with great music. Thanks, Natalie! And then we hooked up with online blog, Majority Mag, for a Sole Music party at Forza Coffee in Tacoma, thanks to Joe Hunich. Joe also… HOLY HOLE IN A DONUT! IT’S SNOWING!!!! RIGHT NOW! WHILE I TYPE THIS!

A.MAZ.ING!

ok back to the blog. What else happened this week? Oh yeah! Carolyn likes to make things. Apparently to make things she really wanted a knife for cutting things out. Why not scissors, you ask? so did Ana and I. Wouldn’t scissors be more practical than a knife? We asked that, too. We’ve yet to receive a satisfactory answer. Well, anyway. Carolyn got her knife! she’s loving it. Try not to judge.

We went to Mt. Rainier. We got about 3/4ths the way there only to find out that the road was seasonally closed. Luckily closed roads don’t stop Team Ndubs! We got there. See!

Don’t ask questions about how we got there

After seeing the mountain, we were starving, and so we stopped at a railroad car that had been turned into a restaurant. Pretty cool, huh? NO. NO. NO. Not cool at all. A chicken salad at this place was 18.99! Which was more expensive than the ribs! Also, it really seemed like we were in a horror movie. The railroad car was kinda in the middle of nowhere… woods all around… we were the only ones there. Our waitress didn’t seem fond of us, and she looked at us with a strange hunger in her eyes. We were lucky to make it out alive. Thank goodness Carolyn had that knife.

Site of almost our last meal… phew!

So, anyway we’re on the road and headed to San Francisco for the week. See you soon!
