The Collaborative Canvas Collection, with artists Brandon Boyd and Kristin Jai Klosterman, launched at UNDEFEATED in Silverlake, CA at 7pm on Saturday September 26th.  Cut from three huge canvases that Brandon and Kristin hand painted a few months ago, each of the 100 pairs of limited-edition TOMS were truly one-of-a-kind and beautiful.

As VP of Sales, Pete Ferrer reflects, “At 8:15 we had close to 200 people in line with the line wrapping around two buildings!”

The TOMS team, led by Retail Marketing Manager Garett Awad, took the entire day to set up the perfect atmosphere complete with DJ Peytonious, VeeV Vodka, Honest Tea and Nika Water — all of whom TOMS is always grateful to have on board.

The night was alive with excitement with fans anxiously waiting to purchase their numbered pair of limited-edition TOMS and snapping photos with Brandon. The dance floor was kickin’ and the crowd was a blast. It’s always so great for TOMS to share the One for One movement with a new crew, and we were stoked to see the Incubus fans and sneakerheads embrace the TOMS mission.


“You all should feel proud of what went down last night… As I always say, ‘You can’t expect different results doing the same thing!’ Last night we did the unexpected,” Pete mentioned in a note to the TOMS team.

A HUGE thank you to UNDEFEATED, Juxtapoz, Canvas Nineteen, Brandon Boyd, Kristin Jai Klosterman, Incubus, all the amazing bloggers who shared the Collaborative Canvas Collection with their audience, and the dedicated fans and supporters who came out to the event and bought TOMS! Since this project began nearly a year ago, it has flourished into something truly special. Last night proved to be a memorable milestone for TOMS, and we’re so grateful that all of you were able to share it with us.
