One of the favorite activities of us interns is to Slackline. For those of you who don’t know, Slackling is similar to tightrope walking.
You attach a “rope” that is nylon webbing to two anchor points, usually trees. The difference between this and tightrope walking is that the rope has slack in it, so it moves and bounces with you, where as a tightrope is held taught.
Here Ryan, who edits of our awesome Vagabond videos, demonstrates how to balance oneself…

It has become a weekly event for a group of us to load up and go down to Venice Beach on Sunday afternoons, set up the slackline gear and have fun.
The boys tend to draw crowds and there are always new people who want to try. We’ve met people from all over the world. Germany, Canada, Brazil, Texas A&M, you name it.
It has proven to be the best way for us to meet people and spread the word about TOMS. When we aren’t at the beach, we also set up in the park by the house and have met our neighbors by including them in our fun.
The photos in this post were even taken by one of our new friends, Simara Sousa. Thanks, Simara!
We generally set up shop by the basketball courts and police station. So if you’re ever in the Venice Beach area, come check us out! We’d love to meet you and let you join in the fun!!
Love. Always.
