We’re back in LA for a couple of days restocking shoes, catching up on a little work, and booking more events. Tour life is completely insane! It’s a little disarming waking up in a new place everyday; there have certainly been a few mornings when I woke up completely confused by my surroundings, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

On Friday, we spent the day at San Juan Hills High School. The event was a blast. Hundreds of students showed up and we had several musical performances, a bunch of artists, Mexican food, and the TRKY clothing guys on hand to customize TOMS. I love the collaborative events– it’s great to see that there are other brands, organizations, and individuals with the same mindset as Team TOMS; let’s change the world for the better, one step at a time. Plus, we sold 86 pairs of shoes! We weren’t sure what to expect from our first on-campus high school event, but the bar has officially been raised; SJHHS killed it!

We hosted an event in Newport Beach on Sunday night, which I can only sum up as unbelievable! The venue, the newly renovated St. Andrew’s church, was perfect for a Style Your Sole event! We screened the documentary indoors in a SWEET lounge, and then had artists customizing shoes outside on the patio. The line was ridiculous for custom designs, but everyone was more than happy to wait it out for a unique piece of wearable art. HUGE thank you to all the other organizations that came out to support the event– 31 Bits, Krochet Kids, and the Almond crew– you guys were great! We wish you all the success in the world. Special thanks to our campus rep, Alli, for all that she did. You ROCKED this and we cannot wait to come back and work with you again. PS: Thanks for the amazing goody bag you packed for us; the licorice is AMAZING.

Oh, AND THE VERY BEST PART– we sold 100 pairs of shoes! Even as I type this, days later, I can’t help but shake my head in disbelief! 100 kids are going to have shoes on their feet because of all of you that came out to the event. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We’re super stoked to continue the tour. On Friday, we have an event at Azusa Pacific. Saturday, we’re at Pepperdine and on Sunday, we’re at LMU.

Check out a few photos from the last two events!
